While watching "Creepshow" the other night, my wife noticed what has been referred to as the 'travelling ashtray'. Apparently, this ashtray belonged to George Romero, and for whatever reason, he decided to have it appear in every segment of "Creepshow". The following shows where the ashtray appeared in each story.

Aunt Bedelia uses the ashtray to kill her abusive father.

When Jordy first imagines taking the meteor to sell it, the ashtray is on the desk behind the money box.

The ashtray is on the nightstand when Richard gets his gun from it.

While Henry is writing the note to Wilma, the ashtray is visible on the table.

Upton is using the ashtray as a soap dish in this segment.

In the first view, seen here, the kid is stabbing the voodoo doll, and the ashtray is obscured by the baseball trophy.

When the scene changes angles, the ashtray is clearly visible.
